Van Gaal picks out "fantastic" Man Utd star for individual praise

Speaking after the game to reporters (quotes via Goal) Van Gaal was full of praise for Martial, who he said
was doing exceptionally well at his age.
“I have already said in many press conferences after matches that Anthony Martial with his age is an exception, because he has also played every match,

“To play every match then you have to be very strong and consistent because every week I shall compare every player with his competitor. It is fantastic what he is doing.”
In recent weeks Martial has formed a very youthful looking attacking alongside academy products Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard.

With Rashford scoring the winner in the Manchester derby, and Martial scoring against Everton, United have now won back-to-back games.
They are just one point behind rivals Manchester City in the race for top four and it would be an impressive achievement from Van Gaal if he can get the club into the top four with all the injuries the club has suffered this season.
It’s therefore encouraging that young players like Martial and Rashford have stepped up when it matters and it bodes well for the club’s future.
