Man United send official for Dutch striker, looking to add goals for next season

Manchester United's biggest worry in the past couple of seasons has been the absence of a regular
goalscorer. Anthony Martial is still young, and it'd be unfair to expect too much from him too soon, despite his impressive performances this season, whilst Wayne Rooney seems to have lost his goalscoring touch.
It's be no surprise if Manchester United were looking to sign a prolific goal scorer in the summer. They tried doing so last summer, when they signed Memphis Depay from PSV, but the 21-year-old has managed just 2 goals in the Premier League this season, and reports in Netherlands suggest United could be interested in signing another young Eredivisie star.
Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf report Manchester United scouts were spotted in the stands in the game between AZ Alkmaar and PSV at the weekend.
De Telegraaf say scouts from United, Paris-Saint Germain, and Everton were present to watch AZ Alkmaar striker Vincent Janssen, who is also the top goalscorer of the Eredivisie this season.
The 21-year-old has been in impressive form this season, having scored 20 goals in 29 league appearances, and also scored his debut goal for the Netherlands against England.
Janssen signed for AZ Alkmaar at the end of the season, but interest from big clubs in Europe could see him packing his bags again soon. At just 21 years of age, Janssen would be another to fall into the young talent category, and perhaps Manchester United need to be looking for more experience, at a bigger price.
