FA Cup semi-final against Everton will be emotional – Fellaini

Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini says lining up against his former side Everton in
the FA Cup semi-final this weekend will be emotional.
Fellaini joined the Toffees in 2008 and made 141 appearances in the Premier League for the Goodison Park side before moving to Manchester United in the summer of 2013.
The Belgian followed David Moyes to Old Trafford, but his spell at Man Utd hasn’t been quite as successful as with Everton, where he was an key figure in their top-six finishes.
He lines up against Everton at Wembley on Saturday and believes it will be an ‘emotional’ occasion.
“I played against United that day and won, but that is in the past and I want to win again — this time with United,” Fellaini said, via the Daily Mirror. “That’s my aim.

“It’s always strange to play against your former team, but we know what we have to do. We want to be in the final and we have one more step to take. Wembley is a special stadium and there will be a lot of emotion on the day.
“The FA Cup is a big competition and everyone always wants to get to Wembley. We are there for the semi-finals and we have to finish the job now.”
Fellaini was part of Everton’s last two FA Cup semi-final appearances – a defeat to Liverpool and victory over Man United – but he’ll be on the opposing side this weekend hoping to end their dreams of silverware.
United are chasing their first success in the FA Cup since 2004 while Everton have not won a trophy – coincidentally the same competition – since 1995 and are desperate to finally end their long wait.

However, Fellaini and his teammates may well have the advantage of Roberto Martinez’s side this weekend as the Toffees’ defence has been crippled with injuries and suspension with Seamus Coleman and Ramiro Funes Mori out injured while John Stones, Gareth Barry and Phil Jagielka are all big doubts.
