Man City blow as key player ruled out of Real Madrid clash

Manchester City will be without the services of Yaya Toure for their Champions League match against Real
Madrid after he was ruled out.
The 32-year-old was forced to undergo scans following the 4-0 victory over Stoke City last weekend, with the results identifying a problem in his right thigh.
Based on the injury, manager Manuel Pellegrini has now ruled out the midfielder for the upcoming fixture, and could also claimed he could miss the match against Southampton this weekend.
“Yaya is going to be out, I think. He has not recovered from the muscle injury,” he is quoted by Sky Sports.
“I don’t think he will be fit for Sunday (at Southampton), we will see how he improves during the week.”
Aside from the Ivory Coast international, Pellegrini will also be without midfield star Samir Nasri, who is ineligible for the clash at the Etihad.
Fernando and Fernandinho are expected to play alongside one another in the middle of the park as the club look to continue their European campaign with a win against Real.
Toure has already featured 44 times in all competitions for his side this term, so far scoring eight goals while providing another seven assists.
