ARSENAL are on the verge of snapping up whizzkid Samuel Chukwueze.
The Gunners have been trying to sign the 16-year-old for a while
after watching him help Nigeria to Under-17 World Cup glory last year.
A deal for Chukwueze was close to collapsing until reports emerged that Arsenal secured a breakthrough in talks with Diamond Football Academy.
He is now set to travel to England to link up with Arsenal.
Diamond Football Academy president Martin Apugo told AllNigeriaSoccer.com: "Chukwueze is still joining Arsenal, he will travel any moment from now to start training with them.
"I didn’t want him to go to Arsenal, I wanted him to go somewhere else but he said he’ll be happy if he goes to Arsenal."
Chukwueze is set to be joined by team-mate Kelechi Nwakali, who has agreed a five-year deal.
