For the second day running, news reports are claiming that Real
Madrid will sign Pierre-Emerick
Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund this summer.
On Wednesday, German newspaper Express reported that Aubameyang will join Real Madrid this coming summer for 100 million euros.
Aubameyang has been in incredible form for Dortmund this season, scoring 32 goals in 37 matches and is one of the most sought after strikers in Europe.
The Gabon striker is contracted to Dortmund until 2020, but Express reported that he has already agreed on a deal with Real Madrid worth 90 to 100 million euros.
That story have today been recycled by AS, which has the effect of raising the profile and reach of the transfer gossip.
AS have titled their article “Real Madrid have signed an agreement with Aubameyang”.
The Spanish outlet are keen to stress that while Aubameyang has given his thumbs up over a move to the Santiago Bernabeu, Los Blancos still have to agree terms with BVB. That may not be so straightforward.
Were the deal to go ahead, however, many would suspect that it could trigger the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real this summer.
It should also be noted that Dortmund have rejected the claims that Aubameyang and Real have a deal.
Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has told Bild:
