It’s been confirmed Manchester United and Barcelona will enter their
youth teams for this year’s Otten Cup
in Herdgang. The competition is held every year and attracts some of the biggest clubs in world football.
The PSV official website have revealed they will again be entering a team for this summer’s competition along with Manchester United and Barcelona. A strong field will contest for the title in early August with clubs from Europe but also South America and Central America competing.
From Europe there's PSG, RSC Anderlecht and Borussia Mönchengladbach, and from the Americas it's Red Bull Brazil and Chivas Guadalajara, the Mexican club who Javier Hernandez played for. PSV will be defending their title which they won last summer.
The Otten Cup is an internationally recognised competition which was first played 70 years ago, and has showcased some great talent down the years. Jetro Willems, Wesley Sneijder, Georginio Wijnaldum, Memphis and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar have all played in the competition, whilst a number of the current PSV squad have also participated.
