ANTONIO CONTE could be at Stamford Bridge tonight to watch Chelsea's Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain as he nears the Blues job.
The Italy head coach's representatives have been thrashing out a deal with Chelsea counterparts since last month.
A pre-contract agreement is expected to be confirmed before the end of March.
He has meetings with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich scheduled in Monte Carlo next week.
It is understood the former Juventus head coach has demanded a three-year contract worth £18million.
Meanwhile, it emerged yesterday that Conte's appeal to bring forward a court case on match fixing has been granted by an Italian judge.
Conte had asked his hearing, which will examine his alleged role in the match-fixing scandal that dogged Italian football five years ago, to be moved so as not to clash with the European Championships.
His new date is 21 April.
As for Chelsea, they need to reverse a 2-1 defeat from the first leg of last month's last-16 clash in Paris.
