Michael Owen states his prediction for Man Utd v Everton

Michael Owen is backing Manchester United to keep their Champions League qualification hopes on track by beating Everton 2-1 at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils head into the game looking to build on their battling 1-0 win against local rivals Manchester City at Etihad Stadium before the international break.
That win left Louis van Gaal’s men one point behind City in fourth heading into the final few game of the season.
Everton, meanwhile, are hoping to bounce back to winning ways after disappointment of their 2-0 loss to Arsenal at Goodison Park in their most recent outing.
With United still in with a chance of making the top four, former England striker Owen is tipping the home side to edge to victory on Sunday.
Writing in his column for Colossus Bets, Owen said: “Somehow, United are still in with a chance of Champions League football next season, and I can see them beating Everton 2-1.
“Everton are arguably the biggest underachievers in the Premier League – and that is some going this season, trust me – and they were very flat in a 2-0 home loss to Arsenal.
“But they do possess a goal threat and they have been at their best away from home, though I was surprised to see that they have only been beaten once on the road.
“However, United’s excellent home record, conceding only seven goals in 14 games, that just swings it for me in favour of them. And they did beat Everton 3-0 in October, too.”
