Dutch FA's Hopes Grow Over Van Gaal's Resignation

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is reportedly wanted as technical director  for the
Dutch FA, who are said to be growing increasingly confident that he will be available.
Van Gaal enjoyed great success with the Dutch national team during the 2014 World Cup and afterwards stepped down to take over the reins at United.
During the following couple of years the Netherlands have really struggled with the country failing to qualify for Euro 2016, although they did beat England 2-1 on Tuesday and many believe they have another excellent batch of young players coming through.
According to a report from the Independent, the Dutch FA are planning to have a massive rebuild to plan for the future and they want Van Gaal to oversee everything.

The report adds that officials are becoming increasingly expectant Van Gaal will leave United in the summer. Also noted, however, is that whenever asked about resuming some sort of role for his native Holland’s international team, Van Gaal’s reply had been: “I am manager of Manchester United.”
Van Gaal still has one year left on his contract with United but the team’s struggles, combined with suggestions Jose Mourinho is being readied for his job, has led to plenty of speculation about his future. However, he could, of course, just walk away.
United are currently locked with West Ham and Manchester City in a battle for a place in the top four while they also face the Hammers in a FA Cup replay.
