Arsenal boss considering to axe struggling star for Swansea clash

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is considering to drop Alexis Sanchez due to poor form at the risk of
infuriating his star winger, according to reports from The Times.
Sanchez is undoubtedly one of the club’s main men the past two seasons, but ever since returning from a hamstring injury two months ago, the former Barcelona ace has struggled to replicate his previous form with no goals or assists in his last five league games.
And after another subdued performance against Manchester United in their 3-2 loss this past Sunday, the Frenchman is mulling over the option of axing the Chile international from the starting line-up ahead of their home clash against Swansea.
The 27-year-old accepted he isn’t at his best, but Sanchez is adamant that a rest is not what is needed right now in their title run-in.
Wenger must therefore think wisely about the decision, being careful to not alienate one of his stars and causing unrest in the dressing room.
Sanchez has made 28 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring 10 goals.
