Man Utd skipper Wayne Rooney set to return vs Norwich

Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney is in line to return to action after his ankle injury for this
weekend’s game against Norwich City, according to The Sun.
The England skipper has been sidelined for the last three games – against West Ham, Wolfsburg and Bournemouth – and United recorded a draw and two defeats in his absence.
Rooney, aged 30, last featured in the Premier League game against Leicester City, but will reportedly be back in contention to face Norwich, with United said to be confident he is back to fitness.
The Red Devils host the Canaries at Old Trafford at 3pm on Saturday.
Rooney’s return will be a timely boost for manager Louis van Gaal, who is without a win in five games and has seen an injury crisis sweep through his squad in recent weeks.
Although the striker has come in for criticism for his displays so far this term, he remains United’s top goalscorer with seven goals in all competitions.
