Chelsea star named alongside Messi in European Team of the Year

 Chelsea star Eden Hazard has been named among the best players in Europe for 2015. The
forward was in impressive form last season when the West London side won the Premier League title, and helped his country qualify for Euro 2016.
CIES have revealed the final standings for 2015 which sees the Belgian international make the team of the year. CIES Football Observatory uses data from statistics provided by OptaPro. It takes into account the technical performance of players in 5 major leagues since January in six key areas of the game. Hazard has been joined by the likes of Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi, Brazilian international Dani Alves and PSG captain Thiago Silva in the best eleven for this year.
Hazard was an inspiration for Chelsea winning their fourth Premier League title last season, the third under the management of Jose Mourinho. The former Lille star scored fourteen goals during the 2014/15 season, and was crowned the PFA footballer of the year. Hazard was also influential in Belgium making next years in France, and he finished the qualifiers as his country’s top scorer. However, he’s been unable to find his from for Chelsea this season, and has yet to score in the Premier League.
