What Louis van Gaal told his players to do when fans booed

While the Red Devils got a vital three points to send them top of Grouo B, not all of the Old Trafford faithful
were content with the win.
The fans chanted "attack, attack, attack" as they urged their side to get forward and mount pressure on the Russian side.

And Lingard admits although he tried to speed up their movement across the pitch, Van Gaal ordered his players not to listen to the fans.
"I was trying to be as direct as I could and get the crowd on their feet," the 22-year-old said.
"Obviously I had to be direct at the right time, so we had to be patient sometimes. I'm glad the goal came."

Asked what the Dutchman told his side at half-time he said: "Just to keep going and perform the same as the first half. Be patient, ignore the fans and keep playing your own game."
The fans also booed when the Dutchman took off Anthony Martial in the second half and replaced him with Marouane Fellaini, but Van Gaal stood by his decision.
“Of course I heard that, I'm not deaf," Van Gaal said.
"That's the opinion of the fans. But afterwards they shall not be disappointed with the decision."
