There is "no doubt" that Barcelona star Neymar will renew his contract with the Camp Nou club, according
to the Blaugrana's technical secretary Robert Fernandez.Recent reports have indicated that the Brazilian is stalling on extending his contract past its current expiration of 2018, while he continues to be heavily linked with Manchester United, per Marca's Luis Rojo.
But Fernandez has insisted that, in time, the 23-year-old will pen a new deal, and he also branded Neymar the world's second best player, per Spanish radio station RAC1 (via Sky Sports):
He is the second-best player in the world. He is a footballer of extraordinary ability, with magic and a special talent, who scores goals. He will be very important for the club. I have no doubt that he will renew [his contract]. The time will come in which we will sit down, talk and look for a solution. He is happy here and is performing well.
He has been in stunning form in the long-term absence of the injured Lionel Messi, netting 10 times and providing six assists in his last 10 appearances in La Liga and the Champions League, per WhoScored.com.
