Man United table proposal to sign superstar, talks ongoing, Mendes involved

If Karim Benzema hadn't managed to once again find himself at the centre of some serious criminal allegations and police action in France then it's likely Cristiano Ronaldo would once again have found his way
on to the front cover of L'Equipe newspaper.
Ronaldo's actions both before and after the match between PSG and Real Madrid this week have understandably thrown further doubt on his future. Ronaldo had given an interview in which he yet again left his future open, and before the PSG match Florentino Perez looked to question him about those comments in what looked to be a public stunt which didn't leave Ronaldo thrilled.
After the match Ronaldo shared an embrace and a hand-over-mouth private conversation with PSG manager Laurent Blanc on the pitch and then in the mixed zone he acknowledged PSG chairman Nasser al-Khelaifi with a pat on the back and a wink. It would not take the world's most suspicious football fan to think something is going on.
French newspaper L'Equipe say that Ronaldo is deciding whether to accept one of three proposals on his future. Those are from PSG, Manchester United and MLS.
PSG right now would look the likeliest given Ronaldo's very public acts around the match this week. The French club certainly have the money and signing Ronaldo would, they would think, lift the club to a whole new level. Therefore the hugely expensive signing could be more justifiable to them, Ronaldo's time to rejoin Manchester United has surely passed.
Jorge Mendes is likely to be keen on getting involved in the PSG project and a Ronaldo move would help the agent achieve that. Tentative talks about the claimed proposals will continue, but Ronaldo's body language may have given the game away.
