According to The Daily Star, scouts from Arsenal, Manchester City and
Manchester United watched Guedes in Champions League action earlier
this week – starting in a 2-1 win over Galatasaray that has
cemented Benfica’s position at the top of Group C.
But European champions Barcelona are also known admirers of the Portugal U21, who has represented his country on 14 occasions at youth level, scoring four goals, whilst Guedes’ price-tag remains another potential stumbling block.
Benfica are unlikely to sell any time soon, with the winger prodigy’s contract not set to expire until 2021, meaning potential suitors will have to activate his £40million release clause.
