Oliseh’s recent health challenges stopped him from taking charge of Nigeria’s last round of internationals against Burkina Faso and the coach has revealed that he is yet to attain optimum fitness.
Looking noticeably emaciated, the trainer said he however decided to rouse himself because of Friday’s 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifier against Swaziland which he described as “very important”.
“I am still not a hundred percent fit but it is a crucial encounter for us and we are trying to give it the best that we can,” Oliseh said.
Friday’s game will be played at Somhlolo National Stadium, Lobamba with the return leg scheduled for November 17 at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt.
