We Want You At Man Utd: Woodward Tells 46-Goal Forward

Manchester United and Ed Woodward have left the Old Trafford door open for Barcelona star Neymar should he ever want to leave the Camp Nou, as reported by The Sun.

The newspaper claims that Woodward has told Neymar that should he ever want to depart the Camp Nou, the Red Devils would be ready to sign him. The Sun say that Woodward is playing a ‘clever’ game and that it could end up working for the Red Devils as the Man United chief isn’t afraid of stunning the likes of Barcelona.

The 23-year-old was in stunning form last season, scoring 39 goals in all competitions, forming a lethal trio with fellow front-men Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, as Barcelona swept all before them to secure the treble.
The Brazilian, who’s also scored 46 goals for his country, scored in both legs of the quarter-final against Paris Saint-Germain, both legs of the semi-final against Bayern Munich, and finished off in style with the third goal in his side’s 3-1 win over Juventus in the final.
Barcelona have had a slightly more difficult start to this term, with Luis Enrique having to cope without an injured Messi. In his absence, Neymar has stepped up to the plate, scoring eight league goals in eight appearances so far.
He’s also continued to be a creator for his team-mates – only Nolito has played more key passes in La Liga this season.
Barcelona currently sit second in the table, level on points with Real Madrid, and they face Getafe away on Saturday.
As for United, they sit fourth in the Premier League on 20 points from 10 games.
