Manchester United scouts were present at Barcelona’s 0-0 Copa Del Rey draw with Villanovense last night.
The Express have reported that Man United are interested in beating Premier League rivals Arsenal to the double signing of Sergi Samper and Wilfrid Kaptoum.
It appears the scouts were present to initially track Samper’s progress, but Man United are also eyeing Kaptoum, as alongside Arsenal, they too are seeking to add more youth to their squad.
Samper, 20, has made over 80 appearances for Barcelona B, and looks to have a very promising future ahead of him.
Should Man United want the defensive midfielder to come to Old Trafford they will need to prize him away from a move to Arsenal.
At the tender age of just 19, Cameroonian midfielder Kaptoum is also being touted by some of Europe’s top clubs.
