Villarreal to host Liverpool in Europa League semi-final

The Europa League semi-final draw has been confirmed, with Liverpool set to face Villarreal in the
last four.
The tournament has been often been underestimated for the lack of quality over the years, but there were certainly millions of eyes peeled on Thursday night as Liverpool made it a night to remember.
The Reds overcame yet another three-goal deficit against a flying Borussia Dortmund side, to make the semi-finals after a 4-3 win on the night and 5-4 aggregate victory.
Undoubtedly, a number of fans will feel Jurgen Klopp’s side have their name written on the trophy, but they still have a number of hurdles to overcome to do that.
Sevilla have proven time and time again they are more than capable of winning the Europa League, and Unai Emery’s side will be eager to defend their trophy.

Meanwhile, Shakhtar Donetsk cruised through their quarter-final tie against Portuguese outfit Braga, beating them 6-1 on aggregate.
There is another La Liga side in the hat in Villarreal, as Marcelino looks to continue his fantastic work with the Yellow Submarine this season.
A trophy which was often looked at sparingly now has millions who will be eager to seen how it unfolds, with exciting semi-final ties to come.
