Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata had some more good news for the club’s supporters
after Sunday’s win over Everton, after posting a photo of him and Luke Shaw at Carrington on Monday.
The Red Devils continued their mini-revival in the Premier League with a victory over the Toffees on the weekend, after a solitary strike from Anthony Martial.
With the majority of players who started the game coming into training on Monday to get some treatment following their exertions, there was a pleasant sight for many when Shaw returned.
The England international was back at the club’s training ground after returning to training outside, after it was first revealed last week that the 20-year-old was on the verge of a comeback.
Shaw suffered a double fracture of his leg in September 2015 during a Champions League game in the Netherlands against PSV Eindhoven and has been battling fitness since.
However, he has handed the club and the fans a boost after returning to the club’s training ground for some outdoor work.
It remains to be seen whether Shaw will be able to play any part in the remainder of the season, but it seems highly unlikely Louis van Gaal will want to take a chance on the former Southampton man.
