MANCHESTER UNITED are lining up a £22million bid for Fiorentina winger Federico Bernardeschi, according to reports.
Bernardeschi has been an
influential figure for the Serie A club this season, making 35
appearances in all competitions and scoring 5 goals.
The
22-year-old is likely to receive a call-up to Italy's Euro 2016 squad
after featuring in both friendlies against Spain and Germany last month.
And according to Italian newspaper La Nazione, United have been impressed by the forward and are considering a £22m summer offer.
The report claims Bernardeschi's future all hinges on the lure of Champions League football.
Fiorentina have an
outside shot of making the top three in Serie A and securing a place in
the competition, but are currently eight points off Roma.
Meanwhile,
United's chances of qualification are a lot more promising with just a
four-point deficit to make up on rivals Manchester City.
It is said the Red Devils may use this summer's European Championships to run the rule over the right-sided winger.
And
the 22-year-old could provide the perfect replacement for Antonio
Valencia, who has just one year left on his contract and has hardly
featured this term due to a five-month absence with a foot injury.
