Manchester United are confirmed once again as leading the chase for
22 year-old defensive star Raphael
Varane now that the player himself has admitted he likes the idea of playing for the Red Devils next season, according to reports from French news source Le10Sport.
Varane’s inclination adds another boost to United hopes of signing the young star, who is said to be a top target for future United coach Jose Mourinho.
A move away from Real seems to make sense for Varane, since he’s not going to get much time on the pitch when he has to compete with the more experienced Pepe and Sergio Ramos at the back. The centre-back is in his fifth season at the Bernabeu, having scored 6 goals in 144 appearances for his club.
The French international represented his nation in the 2014 World Cup and is expected to a command a hefty transfer fee, far bigger than the £10m Real paid Lens for the player in 2011.
