Paul Scholes slams ‘clumsy’ Man Utd star after European exit against Liverpool

PAUL SCHOLES has torn into Marouane Fellaini after Manchester United’s Europa League exit.

The Red Devils drew 1-1 at home to Liverpool last night, but Jurgen Klopp’s men progressed to the quarter-finals 3-1 on aggregate.
Fellaini escaped action from UEFA after appearing to elbow Emre Can in the first leg at Anfield.
The afro-haired Belgian caught Roberto Firmino and Dejan Lovren with his elbow at Old Trafford, but was only cautioned for the latter offence.
And Scholes is convinced that United’s stuttering play is due to Fellaini.
“I know from experience of playing against him,” Scholes said.
“He’s just so clumsy with elbows all over.
“He’s probably part of the confusion with United when he plays.”
United will be looking to bounce back when they face Manchester City on Sunday (4pm).
