Carrick has 'heard nothing' from United over new deal

Michael Carrick says Manchester United have not instigated any talks over a possible contract extension.

The midfielder, 34, is out of contract at the end of the season and his future is uncertain, with no new deal on the table and a possible change of manager in the offing as well.
The England international has made 15 Premier League starts this campaign, with another five appearances as a substitute, but says he has no idea whether he will be at the club next season.

"Honestly, I don't know. There's no news at all," Carrick told the Manchester Evening News after United's win over Arsenal on Sunday. "I've heard nothing really, so I can't comment at this stage.”
Carrick joined United from Tottenham for a fee of £18.6 million in the summer of 2006 – meaning he will bring up his 10th anniversary as a United player at the end of the season.
Arsenal and Newcastle United, Carrick’s hometown club, have both been linked with the midfielder.
