Man United want Serie A enforcer to solve defensive woes

Manchester United are ready to make a move for Inter Milan centre-half Joao Miranda, with
Calciomercato claiming that the Old Trafford outfit have already made an enquiry for the enforcer.
The Red Devils have had an underwhelming campaign and there is expected to be an influx of international talent this summer as the club looks to get back to the glory days.
The centre of defence is an area that is expected to be strengthened, with an over-reliance on Chris Smalling, Daley Blind playing out of position and Phil Jones struggling with injury.
United hope to make the most of financial issues at Inter by taking Miranda off their hands.
The 31-year-old joined the Italian giants from Atletico Madrid in the summer and has been reinstated to the Brazil national squad after the 2014 World Cup.
He would bring a wealth of experience and an uncompromising outlook to Old Trafford which could well be the answer to the club’s defensive problems.
