Man United and Man City have transfer bids rejected for £35m Juventus star

MANCHESTER UNITED and Manchester City have had bids dismissed by Juventus for left-back
Alex Sandro, according to reports.
With both clubs looking to improve their defence, Calciomercato claim Louis van Gaal and incoming City boss Pep Guardiola have had swoops stopped in their tracks.
United have struggled with defensive injuries in the left-back area with Luke Shaw suffering a double leg break earlier in the season.
City are looking for other options outside of Aleksandar Kolarov and Gael Clichy as neither have nailed down the position this term.
Juventus are keen to keep hold of Sandro and value the 25-year-old at £35m.
He has only started eight games this campaign but he is seen as the natural successor to Patrice Evra when the Frenchman retires.
Both Premier League clubs have had bids rejected and Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri believes only Bayern Munich left-back David Alaba is better than Sandro.
United and City are both expected to make improved offers at the end of the season.
With Pep Guardiola taking over at City, he is expected to be given a significant budget to recruit new players.
The same can be said of United as Jose Mourinho is favourite to replace Louis van Gaal at the end of the current campaign
