Ezequiel Lavezzi is now the 5th best paid footballer in the world, following move to Hebei

Once again, China have shocked the football world with a signing that screams cash but will likely do little to
improve their league nor their standing in the world game.
Ezequiel Lavezzi never really turned into a first team player at PSG and was linked with plenty of moves away from the Ligue 1 giants during the January transfer window.

On Wednesday, Hebei China Fortune announced the signing of Lavezzi for an incredible 6 million euro fee.
We call this “incredible” since Lavezzi is a pretty average player and was out of contract at the end of the season.
Pretty much only Chinese clubs could even buy Lavezzi right now, so how PSG got that figure is remarkable.
Lavezzi will earn a cool 13 million euros per season, which will make him the fifth best paid player in the world.
The Chinese transfer window does not end until February 26, 2016, so there is still time for more bombshells to follow the likes of Lavezzi, Jackson Martinez, Alex Teixeira and Ramires.
How Lavezzi now earns more than the likes of former PSG team mates Angel Di Maria and Thiago Silva, must leave plenty in wonder.
