CHELSEA have cranked up the pressure on new boy Alexandre Pato by handing him
Didier Drogba's old number.
The on-loan striker will wear the No.11 shirt during his spell at Stamford Bridge.
He will be hoping to emulate Drogba's magic touch in front of goal to win a permanent deal.
Blues legend Drogba bagged 164 goals in 381 games for Chelsea over two spells.
Pato, 26, could make his Blues debut against Watford at Vicarage Road tomorrow.
The former AC Milan striker's form has dipped in recent seasons from the highs of his breakthrough years in Italy.
Guus Hiddink has challenged Pato to prove himself and the interim boss said: “I’ve not spoken to him personally, but I’ve said to the people around him and me, I want to see that desire.
“If he didn’t have this big desire, he wouldn’t have made this step to the Premier League. He would have played in Brazil and life would have gone on.
“This gives him the benefit of some doubts from the last few years.”
