Chelsea have finally
confirmed that Liga MX club Santos Laguna have signed Ulises Davila on a
permanent transfer, as per the Blues’ official website.
The 24-year-old was contracted to Chelsea for five years after joining in 2011 and underwent a series of loan spells in the search for regular first-team football.

Ulises spent time with Vitesse,
Sabadell, Cordoba, Tenerife and Vitoria before finally joining Santos
Laguna on a permanent basis.
He is returning to his homeland having signed a three-year contract with the Liga MX side, but Chelsea have been slow to confirm that a deal has been struck.

The Mexican side revealed the move a month ago (via their official website), but Chelsea only officially followed suit yesterday.

Guud Hiddink’s side recorded their first win under the interim manager on Sunday as they cruised past Alan Pardew’s Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
The Blues had the same number of shots on target as Palace (four) but won 3-0. Chelsea were also stronger in the tackle, winning 51% of those attempted, whilst Palace won 30% of their challenges.
