Mourinho & Abramovich Agree On Bringing Big Money Star To Chelsea

Jose Mourinho’s ongoing pursuit of Everton’s John Stones has been handed a major boost after
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich agreed that the side need the young defender, as per the Express.
According to the report, Mourinho was very eager to bring Stones to Stamford Bridge in the summer but saw four bids turned away by Roberto Martinez for the 21-year-old.

However, the Portuguese manager is set to go back in for the England international in January in a bid to spark the Blues’ stuttering season, and has been backed by club owner Abramovich to seal the deal.

The Russian businessman recognises, the Express suggests, that Stones possesses the qualities needed in Chelsea’s back-line to help pull them out of trouble.
The report also claims that Chelsea will offer £40 million to Everton for Stones in the next transfer window, due to open in just over two weeks.
Stones has averaged seven defensive actions per game this season, making one error.
He has won an impressive 61% of his duels though, which is the third-best record in the Everton squad.
Stones has made a mere five fouls in 2015/16, picking up two yellow cards.
The Toffees’ No.5 has made 14 league appearances this campaign for Everton, who currently sit 10th in the table, eight points ahead of Chelsea.
On Monday, Chelsea suffered their ninth defeat in 16 league games, via a 2-1 loss at Leicester City.
In-form duo Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez netted for the Foxes to retain their place at the top of the league, and despite a Loic Remy consolation, Chelsea are just one point above the relegation zone
