Monaco shareholder says he will pay Chelsea release fee for Jose Mourinho

Monaco shareholder Alessandro Proto says he will pay Chelsea the release fee in order to land Jose
Mourinho as boss.
The Portuguese’s position is under the microscope with the Blues suffering another miserable defeat at the weekend to make it three losses in a week.
Chelsea are currently 15th in the league after losing six games in the title race where they are now 14 points off the leaders.
Mourinho has come under fire from the authorities for his various outbursts and looks a man under pressure with reports that players are no longer performing for him.
Owner Roman Abramovic is likely to pull the trigger if he feels that Chelsea will struggle to make the top four but Mourinho has been handed a stay of execution for the time being it seems.
Monaco’s interest was reported last week and it seems they remain keen on handing Mourinho an escape route from his Blues misery.
“Mourinho is the best coach in the world”, claimed Proto according to the Mirror. “If necessary, I’ll pay Abramovich the release clause straight up so that he lets Mourinho go.”
